This is going to be stressful/awesome

The shirt is gray. It advertises O'Hara's, an Irish beer I'd never heard of. So the shirt's already doing its job. It makes some joke involving hurling, the name of a sport popular in Ireland (and only in Ireland, afaik)

Nice! A "many many millions of dollars" success should allow you to semi-retire, and/or ascend to a much higher profile/high stress job, and/or a boatload of equity, or other stuff of commensurate value.
Unless this is just a hobby for you, if you've not resolved suchlike terms with whomsoever bosses people around there, you may want to open that discussion before rolling up your sleeves.
EDIT: I'm presumptiously sort of presuming you've not done so, having not seen/been too lazy to look for reference to such from previous posts

Well, I won't be able to semi-retire or any of that, I work for one of the largest companies in the world, and this project will save us somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 mil / year, which is awesome, but when we are measuring things in billions of dollars, I guess it's a small drop in the bucket. Really, I'm just hoping that this will lead to a higher profile position that I can parlay into a good job with a smaller company where I can actually make a difference and a lot more money.
