Cutco knives.

It actually sucks selling them I'm sure but they are GREAT knives -- they really cost a lot though.

I'm sorry, this injustice will not stand.

Cutco knives are absolute $#@! It's an incredible scam.

Sorry phat but I love' em. Sharp as all get out.

I own a Cutco vegetable knife (looks kind of like a long but light cleaver - an 8+ inch blade, but not tapered like a chef's knife) and a paring knife. The steel sucks - they were razor sharp when I got them but they're impossible to keep sharp for more than a few cuts, it seems. And the handles don't suit my hands at all (well, it's fine on the paring knife but too small for the veggie knife).

If you want a good knife, far cheaper than Cutco but a better, easier to maintain edge, look for a budget Japanese Gyuto. I got mine for about $50 a few years ago. It's a thinner blade than a standard European-style chef's knife, made from a harder steel that holds an edge much better than the crappy steel Cutco knifes are made from.

Must be a matter of taste or something.

I have a set. We use all of them constantly. They have all remained razor sharp so far. If we do need them sharpened, allegedly, they come to the house and sharpen them for you. I have found them really easy to use and I can cut the hell out of everything I've tried so far. It's made cooking tons easier than ever before.

Anyways, I asked around before we got them and the folks we know that have them have had them for 20 years or more and they are still in perfect shape.

We went through a few different knives -- stuff rated high by Consumer Reports and stuff. Just not happy with any of them. We spent a ton of money for these things as they are way overpriced I'm sure. But we both love them so it's been well worth it.

If we need them sharpened and they don't come out and do it I'll be kinda pissed because that's a big part of what they sell. But we're good to go so far.

I did a bunch of reading on the net prior to purchase and there are a lot of complaints about the way the stuff is sold -- mostly by the folks who get suckered into selling them. But everyone raved about the knives themselves. And so far we concur with them.

one of the dudes I went to Vegas with last summer got through to the final selection pool for this round of Real World casting. I don't think they've decided on the cast members yet so I guess he's still in it. The guy was pretty much made for reality TV.

I don't know why I'm still awake. Didn't even get borracho'd. Got a pretty sweet free Irish t-shirt at the Mexican place we went to though.

My ManBABIPs turnt a few heads in their day

The shirt is gray. It advertises O'Hara's, an Irish beer I'd never heard of. So the shirt's already doing its job. It makes some joke involving hurling, the name of a sport popular in Ireland (and only in Ireland, afaik)

from trending health matters blog KevinMD:

Laboratory scientists have used animal models borrowed from drug addiction research to study food addiction. In one study, rats were given access, not to cocaine or heroin but rather to a “cafeteria-style” diet including bacon, sausage, cheesecake, pound cake, frosting and chocolate.  As a result,  some of the rats became compulsive eaters. Compulsiveness is considered a hallmark of addiction in humans.
