Also, at this charity party I was at someone paid $50 or maybe it was $100 for a Hayden Simpson autographed baseball. Who's Hayden Simpson you ask? He was the Cubs 1st round draft pick in 2010. He has yet to pitch a professional inning though, as shortly after he signed he contracted mono.

Maybe because the news was buried in a "generic" thread? Maybe because that thread was dragged off-topic, at length, with stuff that belongs in the Pujols thread, and people missed the news?

It seems to me that changes to the roster are worthy of their own threads- certainly more significant that speculation about mega-deals that have little chance of happening.
