A man walks into a diner for lunch. He looks on the menu board and see's the day's specials: cheese sandwiches for two dollars and hand jobs for five dollars. He walks up to the counter, where a pretty woman at the register says to him, "So, what can I get you today?" And the man says, "Yeah, why don't you go wash your hands and then make me a cheese sandwich."

It makes me happy to hear the guy across the street playing his drums. I don't get the impression he's in a band and I don't see any cars in the driveway but theirs. I like to know people do stuff like that because they want to.

So no political thread? That's cool. It's true that there are plenty of sites to discuss that stuff.

My only question is what happened to the old thread? I figured I'd peruse the last political comments as a sort of last rights, but I can't find it. Someone PM me what I missed or make the thread reappear or send me cookies or something. I demand my sense of closure.

There is no reason such things should exist.

The only males who will be at my wife's shower next month are myself, her father, and her brother, the latter only because it's at his house. I would never subject my male relatives or the husbands of my wife's friends to such a thing.

My wife is watching Professional Bull Riding while I am on the computer hopping around Youtube for '70s R&B. Yep, our kid's going to grow up in a very culturally incoherent household.

I don't either. Mine also loves country music, some of which I'm OK with but a lot of which sucks. We didn't get together because of common taste in pop culture, that's for sure.

No way....when I draw the death card, I'll have a good reason to not attend. Or else I'll just pull the old standard trick of getting drunk to where they tell you its better if you don't show up. That excuse has gotten me out of two wedding ceremonies and a graduation.

I think Andy Sandberg is a pretty funny guy--occasionally hilarious, even--but there's something about his face that is insanely punch-able.
