The full-sized arcade game, for those who remember it. $479 after tax. I feel like it's extravagant and stupid, but since I am getting a big raise, I can afford it (it was either this or a Blu-Ray player, and honestly, I don't care enough about blu ray one way or the other). Will have to store it with the folks until I move however.
The game was the only arcade game I played consistently when I was a kid.

Sure you can. Doc Smooth probably wants some company on the health reform thread.

Congratulations, and enjoy.
Re: Blu-Ray, it's going to be increasingly difficult to purchase movies on DVD, so there's that.
However, a basic Blu-Ray player can be had for under $100 so it's not really in the same ballpark as that game.

Well, I'd want my Blu-Ray player to be an all-in-one sound system unit as well, and those run $300 & up. At least now they do.
And since I have a Wii to download movies with, I just figured, "I only live once."

I recommend against the HTIB type combo systems. They're generally really crappy components that will probably look nice and sound OK but won't last. I acted against online advice and bought one a few years ago, and it just died. I'm now using a cheap Blu-Ray player with the sound through the TV and don't miss the HT system at all.
