This is a retarded question, but I'd figure most of you'd know. If I'm in a bar in philly not drinking myself, but with other underage people who are can I be busted for just being in the bar even though I'm drinking Pepsi? I have no idea how this works.

No, I was just wondering if the 21 to enter a bar is a state law thing or an establishment rule that varies.

I believe you're allowed to enter a bar/restaurant if you're under 21 as long as you stay in the restaurant part, but you can't sit at the bar. If you go into the restaurant part and order alcohol, they'll card you. If you're part of a group that is drinking illegally, they'll likely kick you out too, even if it's just soda or water or whatever...

Friday night I stayed at the office an extra hour to wrap up a few things, and 5 minutes into my ride home I got detoured around my usual route. Just saw in the paper there was a head-on collision and a death where I would've normally been at that time

Out doing some solo day drinkin. Maybe the kid would be interested in joining me at Amsterdam cafe?

It pretty much varies from bar to bar but I think the law is that if you're under 21 you have to be accompanied by someone of age, maybe 25 or something. And you're not allowed in at all after like 10 p.m. But I think the most serious charges would come against the bar, not the patron.

My watering hole lets the 18-20 guys in (and at the bar drinking shirley temples) until 10PM, when the kitchen closes. Then they're out.
