no offense jersz, cause I luv ya, but comments like this is likely why Vox deleted it
now I'm certainly not laying the blame on you as others get just as heated in there, but I can see why Vox would out the kibosh on those threads when political discourse breaks down to such nastiness instead of exchanging ideas and opinions in a somewhat polite manner.

they've reached the stage where they should concoct an "ice cream flavor" consisting of nothing but all the crap they put into their other ice cream flavors.

And here's the twist - then they leave out any actual ice cream.

but if there must be ice cream, whip up some coke-"flavored" ice cream, call it Toot Sweet.

or something with a vaguely fermented-lawn-clippings aroma mixed with brownies, call it Glace B Toklas

Probably. But the discussion in the thread wasn't really that bad, and if he did just delete the thread because I pointed out something that he called factual was bull shit that's pretty weak sauce.

I don't take politics personally. It's something to argue about like whether Mark Sanchez is a good quarterback or if the Heat or Celtics are a better bet to make the NBA finals. I make fun of HillMD for dumb posts about Mark Sanchez. And kopphanatic for suggesting if Walker succeeds in Wisconsin that we'll see children working 14 hour days in unsafe conditions. I don't see a whole lot of difference in arguing about the two topics. Some people take politics a lot more personally than they take sports I guess.

it has a more direct affect on livelihood than sports does, so why is that a surprise?

Not if you gamble.

Speaking of which, I am going to Vegas in July. To a Blackboard conference. Called Blackboard World.

http://www.blackboard.com/BbWorld/2011/Home.aspx

I'm supposed to learn about on-line education. I'm going with a bunch of people who are really into blackboard and other distance education technology. I just want tablet PC.

No, I'm not getting a tablet PC for showing up. Sorry for the misunderstanding. The reason why I'm on my university's advisory committee on on-line education is because I want a tablet PC.

I'll get a lanyard with an ID tag for going to the conference. And I doubt there's going to be anything as cool as a latex $100 bill.
