I am taking my time with this decision.

I think you should appreciate his honesty and let him take it with no points off. He's either stupid for telling you and is going to fail anyway or has an admirable moral code.

It is not admirable to forget you have a test and skip class. There has to be some sort of punishment for that. Someone has to pay something. It is like if some kid throws a baseball through your window. He comes to tell you and he either has to pay for it or you do. Either way someone is paying to get it fixed.

So TV either takes a hit as a professor and the kid tells all his friends that he skipped a class and all he had to do was email him and say I forgot. Or the kid loses some or all points. Either way someone is paying something.

Maybe I am making this too philosophical though.

jesus fucking christ I don't think any of us need an an analogy to understand the complexities of a college student no showing a test

NJ Weedman is hilarious:
Forchion, a South Jersey native and legalization activist who now dispenses medical marijuana from his Liberty Bell Temple in California, said the recent arrest of his brother Russell, a Moorestown woman, and a Burlington Township man for two pounds of marijuana, will do little to stop the flow of buds or the public's views on it.

"There's a war on drugs and the government is losing badly, but every now and then they get one of our soldiers," Forchion, 46, said Friday from Hollywood. "There's plenty of marijuana around. It doesn't stop anything. It just wastes money."

I didn't know that. I just thought of her as Jack's ex-wife from Lost.

I think, for me, it would hinge on his previous classroom attendance record. If it was $#@!, then I wouldn't let him take it.

Yeah, I'm gonna check this on Monday. I don't think he's a fuck up though.

And there's no way he'll make an A. I'm going to have to make up a new exam, so I'm gonna make it an essay exam.

i think that's a great compromise, if the original test wasn't essay and he has to do that, that's perfect

Sure, children ask questions during a movie, and black people talk at the screen. But for random commentary at a movie, no one beats old ladies. Mrs. Vulture and I were at The King's Speech tonight, and the old lady commentary was incessant.
