Dig it. I have a four day weekend starting Saturday. I love those. We're going to take the dogs to the giant leashless park at Ft. Steilacomb. It's funner than it sounds.

Sunday night is Anniversary celebration at our new favorite restaurant.

Also gonna drink a few beers and chill like Will.

Good stuff days off.

when the house phone rings it also tries to pronounce the name on the caller ID. this is pretty much useless bc it will take something you think to be simple like pennsylvania and say "peen-slah-van-ye"

maybe. but he loses some points to start with. like if he gets them all right the highest grade he can get is a b plus

TV. You should make him take an oral exam (PiP). Have him stand at attention in your office and grill the crap out of him. Shake your head disgustedly at most of his answers.

Interrupt one answer with a disgusted: "arghhh, that's enough -- Jeezus."

Write furiously with a red pen during most of his answers.

Word will get out and you will never have the problem again.

I like this idea. Dock him a letter grade (or half, if you're feeling charitable).

I think, for me, it would hinge on his previous classroom attendance record. If it was $#@!, then I wouldn't let him take it.

He went with the honest mistake approach. If I were a professor, I would probably respect him more for telling the truth, I assume most of the excuses you get are a complete lie anyway.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

Am I the only person that didn't realize that the blonde chick on Modern Family was also the chick from Happy Gilmore?
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

I think you should appreciate his honesty and let him take it with no points off. He's either stupid for telling you and is going to fail anyway or has an admirable moral code.

Maybe. If it makes you feel better, my friend told me last year or else I may have not realized from just watching.

It is not admirable to forget you have a test and skip class. There has to be some sort of punishment for that. Someone has to pay something. It is like if some kid throws a baseball through your window. He comes to tell you and he either has to pay for it or you do. Either way someone is paying to get it fixed.

So TV either takes a hit as a professor and the kid tells all his friends that he skipped a class and all he had to do was email him and say I forgot. Or the kid loses some or all points. Either way someone is paying something.

Maybe I am making this too philosophical though.
