Isn't that awesome. When I started my current job, last August, it was the first time I'd used dual monitors. I love it. Initially I had a laptop screen and a 17", then after I got promoted I had them buy me 2 19" monitors to plug into my laptop. titties.

There's a rumor that they are going to start charging us to park in our parking lot here at work, if they do that I'm going to go full up work from home, as part of the mywork deal I get $1000 to build a home office. I want dual monitors at home.

the only bad thing is that they're not identical monitors so the colors are a little off. i tried my best to make them the same, but thats basically impossible.

What part of the farm?

The lovely fruit smells wafting from the expanse of citrus fields? or the livestock dump?

Could be carpenter ants. We had a pretty good infestation last spring, I had a guy came out and spray some stuff and that was that. I don't remember exactly what it was, but think it was some kind of a plant extract.

Could be this:

Insecticidal uses

Pyrethrum (Chrysanthemum [or Tanacetum] cinerariaefolium) is economically important as a natural source of insecticide. The flowers are pulverized, and the active components called pyrethrins, contained in the seed cases, are extracted and sold in the form of an oleoresin. This is applied as a suspension in water or oil, or as a powder. Pyrethrins attack the nervous systems of all insects, and inhibit female mosquitoes from biting. When not present in amounts fatal to insects, they still appear to have an insect repellent effect. They are harmful to fish, but are far less toxic to mammals and birds than many synthetic insecticides, except in consumer airborne backyard applications. They are non-persistent, being biodegradable and also breaking down easily on exposure to light. They are considered to be amongst the safest insecticides for use around food. (Pyrethroids are synthetic insecticides based on natural pyrethrum, e.g., permethrin.

Are they really small? I know absolutely nothing about insects because they creep me out.

The dime is obviously to provide a size scale. Although in retrospect, it would have been a cool way to smash the MFers.

yeah, and even if you have identical monitors, they somhow don't matchup out of the box. I got used to it after a while. the whites are pretty differnt, but I only notice it if I think about it. Lifehacker had a post a few weeks ago about synching them up, if I come across the link, I'll post it. It was too involved for my lazy ass.

those don't look like the ants we had in our house. ours were much bigger than those. I don't know if that means they aren't carpenter ants though.

yup, I think thats it. They sprinkled pellets around the outside of the house and sprayed inside the walls where the ants were concentrated. We didn't notice any odor or anything from it and that got rid of the ants and kept pretty much all of the bugs out of the house for like 6 months. Then we started seeing the usual spider etc. in the basement again, but no ants.

Spray some raid or shit where you see them. Check for wood damage, in case they are carpenter ants. Carpenter ants are pretty big. A lot of "non-toxic" remedies may repel the ants, but given that it's winter, these ants are living in your house somewhere, so you've got to kill them with poison.

Hey any opinions on small electric space heaters? If I turn the thermostat down a few degrees and use a space heater in the TV room will it net out positively cost wise

A good idea for space heaters is as follows (i may have wrote this before):

Invest in one with a timer and put it in the bathroom. Set the timer for 10 minutes before you wake every day. Then you never have to worry about col bathroom tiles when you wake up in the morning. You may even want to get out bed.

We had a small ceramic heater in the basement of our old house -- it had a thermostat and adjustable fan. Wasn't load or anything, and took the edge off the cold. It had a tip gauge or something like that, so it turned off if it got knocked over.

I am realizing that I shouldn't be a treasurer. I just found $75 I never put in the conference pastors' account. It's been on our front desk for about five months. I'm glad I just handle this small account...
