I screw up my theres from time to time, even though I know better, just from not looking at what I'm typing. I think all of them are such common words that it's possible for your consciousness to be onto the next word before you're even finished typing and your fingers just sort of automatically complete the sound.

I have no idea how the use of loose for lose became so common. It's not even a homonym. So due to my ignorance I'll chalk it up to stupidity.

I have to take my picture for a passport tomorrow and I have two scrapes on my head from NYE. The last thing I remember is the ball dropping or about to drop and the next thing I know my wife and friends are asking me if I need to go to the hospital. Apparently while trying to get up off of my couch, I must have been leaning too far forward and basically did a face plant on my floor and ended up with rug burn over my left eye. My neck is still pretty sore but I'm actually pretty lucky. My friends said if my head was slanted down about a foot lower I could have easily broken it.

Anyway my wife said she could put make-up on the scrapes so they won't be as noticeable. Does that make me gay?

How do we know that all witches' titties are cold? I'm thinking the good witch in the Wizard of Oz had nice warm titties with rose colored nips. Now the Wicked Witch of the West- she definitely had saggy cold titties with pepperoni slices for nips.

I don't get the world's outright preference for 'loose' over 'lose', but ei/ie kills me. Even with the easy rule, I've got Wilt Chamberlain's free-throw percentage with that choice.

on that lose/loose thing, it seems only to go one way, doesn't it? That is, people will write 'loose' for 'lose', but they won't write something like 'my spelling is abysmal - I must have a screw lose'.
