That was a fine waste of time.

because we didn't know where people stood when legislation was already proposed and passed.
This was a joke and you know it.

True story: A few years back I was dating this girl from FLA (West Palm, lived on Trump's block!) who was going to school at 'Nova. Some of her friends came up and wanted to see the city. So I drove them allllllll around. Good neighborhoods, the worst neighborhoods, all the historic sites. (They were awestruck at the houses that were "all stuck together"). At the end of the night, I noticed my wallet was missing. So we backtracked to the few places where we got out of the car. My wallet was sitting on the curb outside of independence hall (I laid down on the ground to get an upward picture of them with Independence Hall in the background). This was like 3 hours after we had been there. I didn't get shot or stabbed either time.

That's an awesome story.
This is the best piece of evidence yet that Beck is out of his mind. Beck runs a successful radio program. 1210 decided to drop him, I suppose partly for ratings reasons but probably for some other reasons as well. The point is, his name is big enough, and the show has enough of a national following, that I'd bet some other station in Philly would eventually have picked Beck up.
Not anymore, however. And while I doubt it was previously unsafe for Beck to walk around Independence Hall, I'll bet now it is.

Beyond their short-term budget gaps, some states have deep structural problems, like insolvent pension funds, that are diverting money from essential public services like education and health care. Some members of Congress fear that it is just a matter of time before a state seeks a bailout, say bankruptcy lawyers who have been consulted by Congressional aides.
Bankruptcy could permit a state to alter its contractual promises to retirees, which are often protected by state constitutions, and it could provide an alternative to a no-strings bailout.
