Or you could start drinking at 8 AM after a midnight shift. Just saying that would also work.

How warm is a stetson in the freezing cold? do you put a beanie or somesuch on underneath if it's really chilly? maybe a balaclava.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I did not, sir. If you can verify that with an independent source, I'll file it away under 'importent things about philiadelphia to tell monkeywiz and mini wizlette'.

As far as warmth goes, a Stetson hat does a decent job in moderately cold weather. It certainly isn't as warm as a toque or ski hat, as it leaves the ears exposed. But otherwise, wool felt is a pretty good insulating material.

I read it on a placard for this exhibition right outside my place of business: Tailoring Philadelphia: Tradition and Innovation in Menswear.

Seems like the company relocated to St. Louis at some point this century, though.

I wonder what would happen if we simply didn't send out any Christmas cards this year.

I think my dad, after many years of frustration that no one in our house helped him fill out the Christmas cards, decided to do that a few years ago, and no one noticed or at least no one said anything.

We moved in late november last year, and didn't send out christmas cards. You know what happened? nothing. No one said anything about it. My mom's family is a pain in the ass and I could have seen them getting pissy about it, but they didn't notice, didn't care.
