I hesitate to mention this since King mentioned it in his MMQB, but I watched the Fran Lebowitz documentary on HBO this weekend and it really was terrific. I say this not having any clue who she was prior to watching it. Caught it like 5 minutes in and couldn't stop watching.

I try to stay as moderate as possible with my political views, but one constant that I've noticed is that whenever I actually have to deal with government I come away convinced that it's something like 80% racket, 20% service.

Yikes. First, who hasn't met a nerd before? Second, I fail to see how the person he met was a nerd and not just someone who wasn't an idiot and was able to find a video game that is in alphabetical order, despite the author claiming they weren't.
