Being on hold is always a nuisance, but sometimes the sound quality of on hold music makes the experience unnecessarily bad. This was especially the case being on hold yesterday with Office Depot, where their "Taking Care of Business" sample was just that--not the whole song, just the loop, far too loud and distorted.

A contact tore in my eye this morning. I got it out, though it wasn't easy. I'm not sure whether there still isn't a little piece of it still in my eye. I don't see one when I look, but my eye still seems a little irritated.

It's supposed to remind you of a Simpsons character... but this works too.

You know some schmuck will push it open while you are standing there. Lock the thing.
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

Close it, lock it, and try to arc the stream over the divider too the delight of your next-stall neighbor. Ensure it is a strong lock though.

Happy B-Day dude. Go out and have a blast tonight. Make sure your friends pay for everything.

I got married when I was 27.

Edit: Nevermind I was 26 when I got married.

You probably scratched your cornea which will bother you for a couple days. It will feel like something is in there but there's not. If it bothers you that bad your doc can write you a rx for some eye drops which will speed up the process a little bit.

I sleep in my contacts WAY too much and a few years ago the way I was sleeping on my side, I guess my eye was sort of slanted and open a little bit causing the contact to dry out and when I woke up it was killing me. I took it out asap but it still felt like there was a grain of sand in there and when the light hit it, it felt like a million tiny needles were stabbing it and it wouldn't stop running. I went to the eye doc and they said I had a corneal ulcer which is basically a small cut like on the top of my eyeball. They gave me this sort of eye patch thing for the light sensitivity, some eye drops, and just told me to keep a warm compress on it as much as I could. No lie, it took close to 2 weeks until it was finally better but whenever I go to get my eyes checked they say they can still see the scar.

Interestingly enough though, after ~20 years of having the same vision- -5.00 in my left eye and -4.00 in my right one- my eyesight somehow improved by .50 in my left and .25 in my right this past year.

When I was a kid I used to take this stuff called A.R.M. (Allergy Relief Medicine) that seemed to help except it doesn't exist anymore and I have no idea what was in it.

I used to wake up with my eyes glued shut with gunk and have to wander blind to the bathroom to splash warm water in my face until it softened enough to open my eyes. Now I don't have that problem but I go to work every day with my eyes looking like I just came off a bender and recently I have either a bad respiratory allergy problem or a cold, who knows.

Yes TV did a really crappy job starting the series thread. I'd have done it better, but I forgot.

At some point today I lost an envelope with $1025 in it. No I did not spend it.

I think I may have hidden it but I can't remember where. Then again my wife might know where it is. She's has like a tracking beacon for everything I misplace.
