How homicidal are you about the unsalted variety?

No, that's okay. Salt is a binary item. On or off, cause "lightly" doesn't count.

Insanity of life.

Find out via e-mail this morning that MrsVox's dad is having a pacemaker installed today. She just left for SC. So my end of month vacation is now now.

I should start the "Diary of a Stay At Home Dad" thread cause I know there will be some adventures. I'm sure MrsVox can use any form of thought or prayer that suits your empathic/theological flavor in the meantime.

I've done this more than a few times, though I have only the one child so it's not really the same. And it wasn't until Lil' Vulture had started all day kindergarten.

In fact, Mrs. Vulture is going out of town Thursday and Friday.

Yeah, it was pretty bizarre. It wasn't even in Allentown or Bethlehem, it was along 512 south of Bath. It may very well have been an opposum.

I like it but eventually it might fly through a window.

Do you use that little pad on the laptop which lets you move the pointer like a mouse? (I forget its name right now). If you don't, and you always use a mouse, you can disable that trackpad. (AHA! That's it! "trackpad"!). That is what's causing your consternation.

Either that, or "suppress taps". Most new laptops (particularly if it's an HP) have a button just below the spacebar to toggle the trackpad on and off.

Just an FYI, if you're an every day smoker- and especially if you have been for years- it can take 3-4 months for bud to completely get out of your system to the level that you can pass a drug test. Also if you have never smoked before and just tried it once or twice over a weekend it will likely be out of your system in 3 or 4 days (not a month like most people think).

There really aren't many good ways to speed up the process naturally. Luckily there are plenty of products available out there that allow you to protect your privacy and still get a job but I'm sure you knew that.

I was aware that it could take that long for it to clear your system. I was an everyday smoker for 3 months or so prior, but before that it was only once/twice a week. I figured in 2 months I'd be clean.

Also, I did some research on those products and none of them seem to be legitimate. There's no real product that metabolizes fat(which is where the THC is stored). The are methods to dilute the urine enough while replacing the nutrients to make it look like a clean test. Either that or you could but fake pee, but I'm not a big fan of storing synthetic urine under my sack.

Exactly, that's what I meant by "there really aren't many good ways to speed up the process naturally" but there are products that will "mask" your true results which is what you're talking about when you mention "dilute the urine enough while replacing the nutrients". The thing is stuff like that only will only work for a 4-8 hour window and you have to be prepared to drink a $#@! load of water on the day of the test. When I had to worry about that stuff, I always kept those take-at-home tests (you can get them for less than a dollar each if it's just for THC) and a bottle of the stuff I'm talking about handy. It worked every time for me. It has gotten to the point now that even if an employer wants a hair sample (usually for like nurses for example) you can get shampoo that will mask the results.

Of course, there are tests for masking agents which takes it to a whole other level and then things can get really expensive. Additionally, a lot of companies (assuming it's just 9-5 desk work) and even state probation agencies will only really test a certain percentage of prospective employees/probationers due to the high cost of drug testing. My brother, for example, was on probation and knew he was going to fail his test so he said $#@! it and smoked a blunt on the way. The "test" came back clean but that was purely luck.

Yeah, I've done more than my fair share of research on the subject and if it came to it, I'm pretty sure I could fake a positive test, but for right now I just cut back to once/twice a week in hopes that I can get clean if I need to in 2 weeks to a month. I figure I can stall a piss test that long, if need be. Problem is that I'm a big dude (6'4 around 270) with a slow metabolism, which sucks.

Luckily(or I guess unluckily), I never got far enough in the interviews to be asked to take a drug test so I never really had to do anything about it, but if I was informed of a drug test, I would have gone out and got those tests for sure.

I'm not so sure that there's a shampoo that will mask the hair test, I've heard of people using bleach and a buffer to take off the drug markers and then redying their hair. However, you have to do that like 3 times and you risk your hair falling out.
