I had a big breakfast--venison sausage and eggs. So I'm not hungry yet. However, I won't get Thanksgiving food for another 4 hours. I should have a something, but I don't know what.

Got on Jersey Transit this morning in NYC without a ticket, had no cash and they don't sell them on the train by card. Got off in Secaucus to buy a ticket, caught the next one, and it's so fucking crowded that nobodys come through to collect them.

Gotta love holiday travel when you're poor and/or cheap.

I took part in the dumbest argument in the history of arguments last night. My cousin's uncle asserted that championships were the only thing that mattered when it came to who was the better player. Somehow this argument started when he was saying the Vikings were going to win the Super Bowl this year because they have Favre. I don't think he believed me when I told him Favre had only one won Superbowl.

He said Trent Dilfer was a better quarterback than Dan Marino. Also that Steve Kerr was a better basketball player than Patrick Ewing.

He ran into some difficulty with players who were on winning teams but didn't play. His conclusion was that history knows who were contributors on winning teams, and they should be the ones credited with winning.

I thought it might come to blows, mostly because the Giants were playing like ass so everyone was on edge. Also everyone was hammered.

I think entry into the race for "dumbest argument in the history of arguments" would require that both sides be retarded. In the case of your argument, only one side gets there.

OTOH, one could have hours of fun with the reductio ad absurdum implications: the last guy on the bench of the '95-'96 Chicago Bulls was a better player than Charles Barkley, So Taguchi (two rings with two different teams!) was a better player than Ted Williams, etc.

What's your favorite term for getting drunk?

For me,

Runners Up: Drinking Man Sodas, Getting obliterated, and Being a shit show.

Winner: Getting mangled.

Not really sure why I look it either. I just do.

If the choice is "you're with Naomi Klein or you're with the Republicans," I probably should just go stick my head in the oven now.
