It took three days + 6 hours to get my new tool cabinet from Los Angeles, CA, to the shippers' Philadelphia depot near the airport. I bet it takes at least that long for them to get it the final 25 miles.

I've got a great piece of plywood that I used to use for my computer desk. But Mrs. Vulture thinks it makes the house look like a dorm (as if that was a bad thing). I just posted in the politics thread side by side pictures of Max Baucus and Judge Smails from "Caddyshack," after concluding that they looked alike and that this is why I don't trust Baucus. But when the pics were up there, they didn't look alike. So I deleted the post, and now my deep shame compels me to confess this whole debacle.

Also, this is my first day back in the office after the surgery. Evidently little has changed.
