From the wikipedia entry on "Touchdown" Tommy Vardell:

Vardell is an avid collector of antiques and oriental rugs. He is also a key grip on the reality show Hammertime, starring MC Hammer.[2]

So, it turns out I have a magic dog. I adopted my sister's dog last week, a miniature dachshund named Molly. She's a good little dog, housebroken, fairly obedient. What I didn't realize was that she could make me money.

All afternoon, I was moving around money, trying to get my credit card balance down, so that I could get approved for an extension of my credit line. It's this whole complicated thing, because I have PSECU, out of Harrisburg, and now I live in Georgia, and can't find any ATM's to deposit money in, so I have to deposit checks or money orders online and mail them in. So by the time I got finished doing all that, I was approved for my loan, but I only had seven dollars left with which to buy cigarettes, and hopefully beer.

I started sort of looking around the house, through pants pockets and stuff, trying to find some beer money, and I said to Molly, "You'd be the best dog in the world if you could make like nine dollars show up here." Anyway, we started out to the park to take her for a walk, and she saw a big dog and started running toward it barking. Then her leash snapped. She pretty much peed herself when she realized I wasn't holding her back anymore, and I was able to pick her up and take her back to the house. I then spent a few minutes tying up some nylon rope for a makeshift leash for her, and we went back outside. Just as she was sniffing around, my landlord showed up, and asked me if I'd be willing to help him move some granite slabs for twenty bucks. Fifteen, twenty minutes later, I had beer money, and hopefully enough to get her a new leash. Then while I started writing this up, my landlord came knocking at the door, told me he didn't like the color of the stones, and asked if I'd help him again tomorrow morning to move them back onto his truck so he can return them.

I have a magic dog.

Does Molly play fetch? I've been trying to teach my mini dachshund to play fetch, but all she does is go get the toy, bring it back about 3/4s of the way, stops, then plays keep away from me.

Molly actually plays fetch by herself if you leave her alone. When my sister had her, she didn't really get much attention, so she learned to entertain herself. She likes the little rawhide sticks to chew on, and she'll take them and fling them across the room, and go chase after them.

As far as playing fetch with a ball, she'll pretty much do what you described most of the time, but she'll eventually give it up. She also runs laps across the whole length of my apartment when she's bored. She runs full speed from one end to the other and back, for no particular reason.

Taking the bandaid off hurt more than donating blood. But taking the bandaid off hurt a lot. The Red Cross has some kick ass adhesive on those suckers.

That same super adhesive is used for price stickers on picture frames. They realize you're going to put a picture under the glass, and won't want a price sticker to block the view, right? What is wrong with these people?
