I got stiffed on gifts by two wedding guests, including a guy who invited himself to the wedding (and brought his girlfriend), and a guy who lived on my couch for four months.

I actually had to google Duggar, hadn't heard or paid attention to anything about them in the past. I guess they have their reasons.
I just always wonder how much actual time your mom and dad can spend with you if there are 18 other siblings to worry about. And how much responsibility falls on the older children to take care of the younger ones.
I was one of six, and these were issues in our family....
As for the whole pregnant for 12 years of your life....I don't know. I guess there are worse ways to spend 12 years, many of which don't have such happy outcomes, but that has to be tough on a body. And not to be crude, but if you have 18 kids, when do you have the time, energy, and privacy to create a 19th?

Can you imagine grocery shopping for a family of 21 people? How many loaves of bread would you need to buy just to make one sandwich for each person? How many servings of cereal are in a standard cereal box?
You'd have to know all that stuff. Those mega-packs of products at BJ's and Costco would be their normal purchase size.

I can't explain why, but I have an irrational fear of getting shortchanged by an ATM. Those things are like judge and jury of my bank accounts.

I mostly get $40-$60 when I go to an ATM, so counting is pretty unnecessary, but the times I've gotten $200 or whatever I don't think I've ever counted. I'm a very trusting person.

My aunt and uncle send me a card every year for my birthday. Just a card, never anything inside. I don't mind much because It's a gift and not something I expect. But if you're not going to send money or something, just don't bother sending a card. Unless it's really hilarious I guess. Cards are pretty worthless by themselves. Jeez, a two-minute phone call would be a massive improvement.

Anyway, if I ever get married I guarantee they'd be the ones to gyp me on the gift.

I went 4 years of undergrad without hooking up with a girl who was in the same class as me, at the time. I lasted 1 week of grad school and I've got all the same classes with this girl for the next year, guaranteed. We did have the Jerry/Elaine ground rules conversation before hand, but I'm pretty sure I know how this ends up.
