I am miserable. Something in my house has been making me sneeze all night, I took Claritin and it did nothing. Then I got up at 4 and took other medication and now I can barely move.

But I'm not sneezing right now. Just have this irritation in my nose. Maybe I'll just rip my nose off.

So, Ehud Olmert is speaking at my place of employment. I'd like to go. Trouble is, it's a scholarship fundraiser, and at $100 a pop, well, my utility function doesn't go that high. So, the question is, Mrs. Vulture is well connected, and so I'm left hoping someone buys a table and has a couple of seats for us.

What I want to know is you send them your gold, they send you a check, but how do you know you've gotten anything close to a fair price? Can you return the money and get your broken and mismatched jewelry back? Aren't there lots of places that will provide the same basic service but face to face?

I would assume in terms of actual gold prices, they're probably paying something like 10% or less of the spot price of gold.

They spin it into wire, wire used in a giant coil for a top secret giant machine. Haven't heard what kind of machine, just that its completion is scheduled for December 21, 2012.
