---To me, this is the single biggest minus, and probably the main reason I would never join this particular board. The guy who now is either running the board or is one of the main moderators is a poster named JULIO. This guy is without question the biggest, most insufferable asshole I have ever run across on any message board I have ever seen. This guy has ZERO clue how to respond or talk to people. Tact goes completely out the window. Just by guessing, I’d figure this guy is probably also one of the main reasons that it seems the same people post over and over again and no one new ever joins in. My buddy, who belongs to this board and has run afoul of Julio in the past and showed me a few of the private messages they had together, hasn’t posted anything in several months now due to the way this Julio character is. Julio literally adds almost nothing to the board other than to fly down off his perch and administer a completely condescending reply to someone. Half the time I re-read a thread and for the life of me I can’t even find what the offending statement is to deserve the reply that he replies with. There’s currently a thread where they post a notice if someone dies. Guy posted that someone from The Jeffersons or some old TV show died, and Julio’s response is just mind numbingly insensitive to the poster. It wasn’t important to Julio, and that’s all that matters apparently. I don’t want to waste too much time on this guy because he’s totally not worth my effort. The prototypical “small man syndrome” – you know the kind (“This is MY Board and wah wah wah wah wah wah). Who knows – he may be a nice guy in real life but my god what an asshole he is on this board. I don’t see what the problem is if someone does something that is against what the forum wants to just send a note that reads along the lines of “Listen, that’s not acceptable here. Please check out our Terms Of Service if you haven’t already done so. Next time may result in a termination of your account for failure to adhering to this warning” rather than the shit that this guy sends, talking to someone who may in fact be older than he is like they are a 6 year old child who has stolen a cookie out of the cookie jar. This guy is probably married too…Christ, she must be a saint. However, the same 10 people who post over and over again seem to love their moderators, so what do I know?

my friend coaches a six-and-under team. they're up in toronto for a tournament this weekend and he just told me about this exchange he had with a kid on his team who's four. i thought it was great.
