Man, $525. I just moved into a studio in Brooklyn (although it may be a little bit bigger than yours since it easily fits a bed and a couch) and I'm paying more than double that.

Didn't I?

My mortgage+taxes+insurance is less than $525. But I have to live in rural Arkansas.

"Hey, it's time to pay the mortgage again."

"Look in the couch for some change."

"Got it!"

Moving out of Philly is delayed a year. That kind of sucks, but I won't have my degree until December anyway, so really it's only delaying it eight months and that's assuming I got a job on a dime.

And this had to be done. I don't know what made it happen, but all of a sudden my roommate entered that zone where anything he does wrong, however trivial, just irks me and accumulates. Yesterday, I got home from work and he had been sitting on the couch all day playing a video game with a headset on talking to some other guy, place was a mess. I like video games, but I wanted to rip his head off.

And I hope this gets me cooking, going out, and exercising more while smoking and drinking less.

Thanks for advice, every1. BSG makes you a better person

I just did all the dishes in the sink and took out the trash after reading this post. Hopefully my employed roommates appreciate my efforts.

I bet it wasn't the first time you've done the dishes in a year. I had to tell him to stop because he doesn't know how.

Last weekend he turned on the AC without closing the window right next to it. We had this exchange:
"Dude, do you know how AC works?"
"Uh, no."
"Jesus H, I'm outta here."

You guys need to find yourselves some female roommates. Mine actually seems to enjoy cooking and doing dishes. My only job is to take out the trash when it starts to smell.

Wives are cool like that too. But you can't really just roll out when they annoy you

I feel like if I could afford 800 I would have a straight ballin apmt

The real estate market has cooled so an apartment for $950 a couple years ago might be somewhat lower now.

well teh stuff in the city of reading is ridiculously cheap but the landlords don't seem to give a crap about keeping them up. Most of the better stuff is $600, or you need a roommate. Places are bigger here than Philly though
