I don't like it when people say "No pun intended" when it seems evident that it was intended, and in some cases even appears likely that they went out of their way to make a pun. Also, unless a pun may across as inappropriate, why even bother pointing out that it was not intended? And if it could be construed as inappropriate, why not just come up with an alternative way of saying something so there's no pun at all?

I just sent off a draft of probably the most difficult (but also in some ways the most interesting and fun) report I've ever been assigned to work on. To use the inevitable cliche, it really does feel like getting up from a particularly satisfying dump.
