Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.

I now see what Hoya meant. Bob Papa was really good last night calling the Eagles game. And I always liked Collinsworth, so they make a nice team.

Anyone else have that friend that won't DD? I've got a friend who would rather go to the shitty bar down the street that hasn't had a woman in it in 25 years than have to DD once a month or so. What really gets me is when the d-bag coincidentally is hanging out with a different group of friends when it's his turn. If he tries jumping in the car with me at the end of the night, I think I'm going to drop him off a mile or two from his place.

That would be the Beauty Shop Cafe, which is the name of the coffee shop on the corner of 20th and Fitzwater (the space was a hairdresser before they took it over). I don't know the particulars of your situation, but that place is run by good people, far as I can tell. Give them a call and see if they can straighten it out. I think the owner's name is John.

I'm probably that guy, more or less, but I'd just as soon stay home, rather than go to the bar and be sober. I don't believe anyone's ever asked me to do so, and I can't imagine anyone ever would.

That's why I miss my old friend Karl, who moved to New York. He was the most daring, most successful drunk driver I've ever been associated with. The guy could pass field sobriety tests wasted. He could get pulled over drunk, on the way to another bar, have a conversation with the officer, and be sent on his way. The audacity with which he operated a motor vehicle was legendary. Now he lives in Manhattan, and doesn't even own a car. What a waste.

Should I have a piece of pie before bed? I think we all know the answer to that.

Damn, I went out with my little brother's friends tonight. Those kids can drink.

It makes me wish I was still in college. Here I am posting drunk on message boards, chugging seltzer to sober up while they're going to another bar.

Eh, he'll be hungover tomorrow on the ride back to Medford, and I'll be laughing at him.
