The Silence Of The Lambs is in my top 3 all-time.

What does Jodie Foster have to her credit besides that and Taxi Driver? Don't say Contact. Or Nell.

Contact is a good movie.

She went to Yale. She posed for a picture when she was there holding a book that was T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land. I figured the photographer gave her that book so she would look smart.

Anyways, years later I found that very book when I was in grad school. I was in a really boss philosophy of history seminar. Just me, a really smart woman, and the professor (he was rockin' cool -- a reserve Navy Captain so he liked me even though I wasn't nearly as smart as the woman in the class).

So anyways, I found the book in the library and chose it as one of the books I was to read and discuss in class. I figured if it made Jodie look smart, it must be one of them there intellectual books.

So, thanks to Jodie Foster, I actually studied a poem by T. S. Eliot.

I'd say her career kind of went out with a whimper and not a bang.

I know a lot of you guys love cooking, and I'm not knocking culinary skills, but when you work with a lot of cooks/women and you hear that stuff all day long, it can really wear on you, especially this time of year. Cookies - an hour-long lunch subject today - aren't that incredible. I know I should get a crockpot. I sit through so many minutes of speech that could be summed, "I got it all at and WholeFoods and threw it together. (It looks better than it tastes.)"

No. Laptops have their uses, but desktop computers are better and more reliable in my opinion.

Yep. I prefer my desktop, use it 99.some% of the time. Only really use my laptop when mobility dictates.

The BK Steakhouse Mushroom & Swiss Burger may have been the most disappointing sandwich experience of my life.
