No - it was in the spirit of O&A, I haven't listened to them for more than a year now.

Latest liberal media blather

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Joe the Plumber, America's most famous tradesman, said Thursday he doesn't have a license and doesn't need one.

Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, the nickname Republican John McCain bestowed on him during Wednesday's presidential debate, said he works for a small plumbing company that does residential work. Because he works for someone else, he doesn't need a license, he said.

But the county Wurzelbacher and his employer live in, Lucas County, requires plumbers to have licenses. Neither Wurzelbacher nor his employer are licensed there, said Cheryl Schimming of Lucas County Building Regulations, which handles plumber licenses in parts of the county outside Toledo.

The earned income tax credit, which was championed by Bill Clinton and had some Republican support I'm pretty sure, is a refundable credit, meaning poor people can get back money they never paid in taxes in the first place.

It may or may not be socialism, but it's not a new concept for us.

BTW, who cares if it's "socialism" or not. We should care if it will work.

What standards do you have for whether such a policy "works?"

So, it turns out Joe the Plumber isn't really very interesting. And here Mike Huckabee was probably thinking people were going to watch his show on Saturday.

Joe the Plumber, the star of tonight's debate, may have a very interesting connection to John McCain. In fact, Joe the Plumber (Joe Wurzelbacher) of Cincinnati, Ohio may be related to one Robert Wurzelbacher of Cincinnati, Ohio, who happens to be Charles Keating's son-in-law.

Robert Wurzelbacher was implicated in the Keating 5 scandal, and sentenced to 40 months in prison in 1993.

Wurzelbacher is also a huge Republican donor.

So, let's find out a bit about Joe Wurzelbacher.

I feel the same way. I feel like I missed the set up to a joke and now all people keep doing is repeating the punchline.

I've developed Phillies myopia and can't process non-Phillies information.

So where is all this Plumber Joe info coming from (i.e. where did the connection to Robert come from?).

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - A San Bernardino County Republican group has distributed a newsletter picturing Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on a $10 bill adorned with a watermelon, ribs and a bucket of fried chicken.

Linking Obama to demeaning racist stereotypes drew denunciations from various GOP officials after the illustration appeared in the October newsletter of the Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reported Thursday.

Diane Fedele, president of the group, said she had no racist intent.

"I never connected," she told the newspaper. "It was just food to me. It didn't mean anything else."

The Obama campaign declined to comment, saying it does not address such attacks.

The newsletter was sent to about 200 club members and associates last week by mail and e-mail. The club is a volunteer group that is not directly responsible to the state party, said California Republican Party press secretary Hector Barajas, who denounced the newsletter.

Fedele said she had received the illustration in e-mails and decided to reprint it to poke fun at a remark by Obama that he doesn't look like other presidents.

Honestly, do these people think about how fucking stupid they are gonna sound before they talk? A black man with watermelon, ribs and fried chicken is "just food"? I love the "...it clearly wasn't my intent..." to offend anyone. Just admit you are a racist bitch and get it over with.

I don't have trouble believing no one screamed that. I think it was Time that had a story claiming that woman who said Obama was an Arab said that she called him an Arab terrorist, but she didn't.
