We've got an elaborate routine--Lil' Vulture writes a note with questions, the fairy turns a glass of water into a color. She's freaking 7, surely she knows it's us.

No, not so much anymore. You'd be surprised at the weird ways of tolerance out here. Lil' Vulture has a girl with two mommies in her class and brownie troop.

Two mommies? That's unpossible.

being able to attend some portion of this event could cure what ails you. Can someone make sure Karn at least sees it?

Brownie Speaks: Clifford Brown Symposium at U of the Arts, Oct 30-Nov 1

Debut of a Brownie documentary, presentations by Nat Hentoff, Phil Schaap, Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, Lou Donaldson, a few performances (they're charging $12-$25 for those)
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

My dog's sick, she vomited 3 times last night (including on me to wake me up that last time) and has diarrhea too. I hope the vet isn't excessively expensive.

Years ago a housemate of mine used to cage his dog when he went to work. One day apparently the dog got into something before he was put in the cage because he got sick, vomiting and diarrhea like you wouldn't believe.

Carrying the 3'x4' pan from the cage which was full of the foulest stuff imaginable, down the stairs and outdoors was possibly the closest I've ever come to hurling when not sick or intoxicated.

I overheard my 10 year son arguing that Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy are real with his 11 year old friend. He is in some serious self-denial.
