If you're not travelling somewhat frequently (at least once a week), it's not a good idea. It seems like a good idea, but it's not. Not at your age. You become too disconnected from everything going on at the office. Info is power. Plus we all could use more social interaction.

On the plus side, you can see every single Law & Order over the course of about 8 months if you take a lunchtime break organized around TNT's schedule. Or so I've heard.

I meant today. I don't feel like going into the office, and I have my laptop.

I'm not going to be productive. I am watching Casino Royale on Showtime. I'm sure some other dumb movie will be on soon. I will be watching Yanks-Sawx this afternoon while listening to the Phils on my computer.

I would be productive at the office, but I don't feel like going into work after working both days last weekend as well.

When I meet people who don't like The Grateful Dead, even in some capacity, I tend to question the sanity of said person.

You know what sucks? When there's one tile left in your Scrabble game, you're ahead by 40 points, and you draw the last letter -- a Q. And you lose by six points.

I have found a new favorite food: elote asado, which is grilled corn on the cob slathered with mayo (yeah, sounds gross but trust me), Mexican cheese, chili powder, lime and cilantro. Just had it at Cantina Dos Segundos in Northern Liberties. Crazy good for $3.

Hoosiers is on.

I can't think of a sports movie that comes anywhere close to the greatness of this movie.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

It really is a great movie. Eight Men Out and Field of Dreams both are there for me.
Do it again!

"Goose" is a stupid nickname for Gossage. It has to be just because of his last name. He doesn't look like a goose at all.

So there was just a shooting on my block. Can't wait to read about it tomorrow in the Post.

Now the street is blocked off and cops are walking around with flashlights. Looking for casings?

I feel like I'm watching CSI from my window.

I no longer live in Georgetown. :?

Youch. Keep your head down!!!

Looking for anything and everything. Contrary to what those CSI/L&O type shows lead you to believe, like almost anything else in the world, detective work is 90% perspiration.

Sounded like more shots. Then sounded like fireworks of all things. More sirens.

I really had big plans for getting to bed early and getting into the office early tomorrow. Bah. Dumb violence preventing me from sleeping.

Coulda been worse. Coulda been "Sausage". Or even worse... "Goose Sausage".

The second incident occurred about an hour later, at 15th and W streets NW, on the southeastern edge of the walled, 12-acre park, an urban oasis known for its gardens and statues.

A witness said he saw three men jump from a Mercedes in the 1500 block of W Street and run toward 15th Street, where they opened fire.

He said he heard what sounded like eight to 10 shots. Then, he said, he heard an automobile being started and driven away from the scene.

Assistant Police Chief Diane Groomes said two men, who apparently had been grazed by bullets, drove themselves from the scene to a hospital for treatment.

I would have said 6-8 shots. So let's say 8.

Maybe there's a reason James Bond is still alive, and that's that bad people are bad at shooting guns.

According to people who would know (not me), it's apparently pretty difficult to accurately shoot a handgun, even at fairly short distances.
