Random Thoughts VI: The Undiscovered Country

Is it rude to go to a restaurant right now? I don't want to just cook eggs again.

Well, yeah, but I don't want to be part of the reason that restaurants are open on holidays and waiters have to work on them, though I suppose you could just repeat your reply.

Go to the Professor and ask if you can get in. Tell him/her that you are really, really interested in this course and you heard it's really, really good. Sometimes stuff like that works. Not just in the movies either.

I'm sure they have room for one more. You're a track guy and pretty lean so you won't take up much room.

I swear the official Red Phillies hat makes my head look too big. No matter how I bend it, it makes me look like Tom McArthy head. For this reason I usually wear a white or black USC cap as I always have to represent. I'd be willing to bet that I own 8-10 different USC hats including visors and skull caps.

I need a new Phils hat.

I have a weird shaped head and none of the New Era 5950 hats look right on me. I bought the Phils BP hat last year (I think it's called the 3930) at Spring Training and couldn't be happier with the fit. Now I have a Mariners BP hat as well.

The official MLB hats always make one's head look big unless it's broken in really well, which takes a lot of work. I have an A's hat that fits well, but the Phillies hat still doesn't look right. I wish they would design them so they don't poof up so much.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one. I have an average shaped head (7 3/8 ) and I've been trying to break the damn thing in for over a year- but it still makes me look like a cone-head or something. I guess I'm in the market for a new Phils hat.

I need complete honesty here: I've given up on finding a plain white pair of kicks for the summer so the question is would you rock these or not?

(Keep in mind that I have a soft spot for Air Max 95's and it's not easy finding size 14 sneakers)

Also keep in mind that the only other 95's that I can find pretty much look like this:

Seriously who the fuck would buy these sneakers (the bottom ones obviously)?

Dude... on nikeid.com you can order Air Max 95's and customize the colors anyway you like. If you're gonna spend $150+ on a pair of sneakers you might as well get the colors you want!

LINK

I can't link directly to the 95's, but if you use the menus at the top: MENS --> NIKE AIR MAX --> Air Max 95 iD

I have a soft spot for the Air Max 03's... I've ordered a few pairs this way, but they're not available anymore. :( Seriously considering whipping up a pair of 97's right now.

MickBayne- you, sir, have changed my life. The blue ones I posted were on sale at Amazon for $90 but if I can customize the colors I have no problem throwing a few extra dollars to those starving sweat-shop kids and the Univ or Oregon.

Thanks a million.

I don't know how old you are but are you talking about the first time, second, or third?

There might be too many options. I'm literally going to spend way too much time on this trying to come up with the right color scheme.
