If he wants his son to learn how to keep his elbow level to his shoulder he should probably send him to an experienced hitting instructor.

The kid was pitching, not hitting. Dropping his elbow on his delivery, apparently... at least based on the "YOU'RE DROPPING YOUR DAMN ELBOW!" scoldings I kept hearing.

My bad, I completely read that the wrong way. I guess I'm still used to hearing my dad yelling, "Get your elbow up", "Don't dip your shoulder", and "Don't open up too early" during my baseball career. Then again he was my coach for 5 years so I guess it makes it a little less asshole-ish.

That's great. One of my wife's friends' brothers is angry young guy. He's in his mid-late thirties and acts like there are scouts at the game.

Rome's quote is classic when he's talking about Bat Guy:

"He's sick at looking at his wife, sick at looking at his kids, he hates his boss, he hates his job. He doesn't want to think about anything other than mashing and pounding. I'm OK with that guy. I kinda like that guy."
