Random Thoughts V: Bride of Chucky

Postby WilliamC » Tue Apr 29, 2008 18:57:28

Since I already posted about it in this thread I will post that my gram did pass away last friday which is why I haven't really felt like coming on here and posting.

She was done in after a massive stroke. That on top of everything else was just too much for her. There was like 35 people at the house already and we all knew it was bleak, and it was a really sad experience for everyone. Happened around 10:30 friday night. She will be missed.
Do it again!

I don't feel like looking for that rap thread, but I just heard a song that was fantastic. I think it was either Lupe Fiasco or Kanye West or both - it's either "Little Weapon" or "Child Rebel Soldier".

It had electric guitars, sampled but still. Run DMC got it, P. Diddy seemed to for a time - hip-hop is best when it's "rock and roll". Not that Limp Bizkit crap, if you know what I mean you know what I mean.

Condolences, WilliamC. Nobody ever loves you quite like a grandmother. Mine passed five years ago and I still miss her all the time.

I'm really sorry for your loss. If 35 people were in the house it just shows how much she meant to everybody. It sounds like she was the matriarch of the family and that's always an especially tough loss.

Sorry to hear that, WillyC.
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

What do you mean "not Gangsta?"

My pronunciation.

Well, it is spelled with an "a" I believe

Gangster. That's how I pronounced it. And I still felt old and geeky talking about it. If I said Gansta, I think I would have been laughed out of the classroom, and rightfully so.

Seriously, going after the good things and not sweating the small things is consistently a good approach to life, I think.
