Seriously, if you were gonna go with a stereotype shot at me, that would have been the way to go too.

Hoya,

Sorry if you thught that was a shot at you. I thought it was a funny reply by me and would have done so for anyone. I don't pay that much attention to the politics stuff here-- I read it and occasionally post but I don't get all worked up regarding it. I'm actually very glad you post in the politics thread because you provide great balance.

I know some Republican who own guns but I have Dem friends who are big gun rights guys and I've owned guns and I shoot pretty well too. And not all the conservatives I know care all that much about gun stuff.

Trust me, I don't take shots if I can help it. I just thought it was a funny joke. I don't remember ever reading anything by you regarding the 2nd amendment. I'm an independent and hold no ill feeling towards anyone here, Liberal or Conservative -- Repub or Dem.

Sorry you took that as a personal shot. They were the first two amendments I thought of. And I couldn't think of a joke regarding cruel and unusual punishment or the third or ninth amandment although some folks find the word enumeration funny.

I enjoy reading your posts as you present the minority view on this board it seems to me. And that is a good and important thing.

Near my house a brand new Rite Aid is about to open...right across the street from a not-that-old Rite Aid. I hope to get a good picture to highlight the absurdity of this phenomena. If you have a good arm you can throw a baseball from one front door to the next. A crowhop might be required.

How come when people change their clothes, it's referred to as "changing their clothes", but when Madonna does it she "reinvented herself"?

Trust me, it's worse when you do this in connection with a friend's bachelor party, two girls show up, and only then do you grasp the full financial implications. You get to choose between an exponentially more expensive evening than you'd planned for, and watching the two women walk away with your $400.

After 2 and a half years and moving 350 miles from home, my girlfriend broke up with me tonight. During the second intermission.

I know that feeling though. I only moved 150 miles, but it was the same thing.

This is the second time in my life that I've moved with my girlfriend. I'll never learn.

You're a guy. Unfortunately the brain doesn't get to make these decisions.

Whats the plan now?

2nd intermission of what? A play? Anyway, that's pretty cold. Since she dumped you, you get to keep the apartment. That's the rule.

Well moma, that sucks, but a dude I work with just got canned by his way-out-of-his-league girlfriend and he has thrown together one of the most epic drinking benders I've ever seen--we're going on like week 5 now--and he's having totally non-commital relations with some half-crazy Asian lass. So that possibility is out there, I suppose.

I had the strangest experience involving a fight when I was in elementary school. I remember walking home from school, and this one kid was really getting angry with me for no reason. I don't remember anything he said, but then when I was about a block away from my house, he just said "C'mon, let's fight" and I just said "No" and walked away.

The next day, I'm walking to school and I see him in the distance and he stops and waits for me. In my mind, I'm wondering what's going to happen. When I got within about 10 feet of him, he just says "Hey man" and so I just said "Hello" then he proceeds to apologize for wanting to fight me the day before. He said that he was just in a bad mood.

It was very odd, reminds me of one of those after school specials. I didn't think that type of thing happened in reality cause it's not like we were close friends or anything. I don't even remember if I was friends with him at all.

Heh. The Flyers game. The apartment has two bedrooms so we each have one. She works over 100 hours a week anyway so we don't see each other too much. I can stay here until the lease is up next year, but naturally, I can't do that. My house in NJ is rented out until next year as well. So its going to take a bit to figure things out.
