Stolen: digital camera (not charger), 8 AA batteries, maybe Les’s pants
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

I had no idea Meat Loaf was in this.

Lotsa dead people singing here. Of course, it was 20+ years ago...

27 feels just like 26, which felt just like 25. I haven't had an interesting birthday since 21.

Happy Birthday. Maybe Rooney and Ronaldo will do the right thing and celebrate it by breaking their metatarsals.

I'm starting to develop a theory that the entire world's calendar got thrown off. I think the last 6 or 7 seasons have ended later than usual. For instance, shouldn't there have been a nice spring day by now?

After spending the morning shopping at whole foods, I feel the need to buy a hybrid car. They must pump something into the air...

And I was amazingly disappointed in the food choices.

Whole Foods is kind of strange. It largely caters to the hipsters and upscale folks, yet their selections are generally limited. You also have a hard time finding your staple foods there, unless you want to pay really high prices. I generally only stop in there to get mixed greens for my nightly salad, and only because its right next to my gym. I think most people just like saying "I shop at Whole Foods", and what they actually buy is inconsequential.

Most people I know in my neighborhood shop there and I think it's nuts. There's a way cheaper Superfresh RIGHT next door.

Also all their takeout food tastes like someone sprayed it with a can of bland.

Yeah it blows there

Housh, don't know if you're aware of the farmer's market at headhouse square on Sunday's, but you can get a crapload of fresh stuff there pretty cheap. It should be starting up very soon (goes all the way to December something)

It's crazy overpriced, and annoyingly overcrowded.

However, I went there looking for (a) low-sodium foods, and (b) to generally check out the bulk foods section, because I heard you can get some deals there.

Overall, in my search for low sodium foods over the past week, I've found that generics and organic products are higher in sodium content than name-brand foods. I did make some good finds, including no salt potato chips, which isn't healthy (chips) but will make the person I was shopping for very happy. I also found some cookies than were pretty good too.

The bulk foods that were pre-packed were good prices, for things like almonds, dried berries. And the frozen berries seemed to be the best prices I've seen (my comparisons have been between Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and my local ShopRite).

So, while (thankfully) I won't be doing my weekly shopping at WF, I will probably end up going once or twice a month to pick up some things, same with trader Joes.

Trader Joe's is where it's at when you consider price, quality, and selection. I used to have to go to Genuardi's, too, to round out my order, but now TJ's suffices with a monthly Target run for toiletries and such.

Thing is my roommate eats out for every meal and there is no lady, so I don't really have the motivation or knowhow/help to turn stuff like that into everyday meals. My cooking is more rice + chili or pasta + sauce than all phatj style. I know I need to get better, but I'm not ready. Maybe when the next girlfriend rolls around.

the large majority of cooking is following directions in a cookbook or recipe. Watch a few days of food network and youll see its easy for the everyday kind of cooking.

I love Harris Teater. They had them in NC, and they are opening one here about 15 minutes from me. They had the best produce of any grocery store type place around me.

The worst thing about not having any sort of online connection is that I have to update these MLB 08 rosters manually
