The only thing that could make this day better would be a Phillies game.

I'm going to Babies 'R' Us. Pray for me.

Well, it could be worse, you could be going on a Saturday. They are crazy with baby registry shoppers on the way to a shower.

It doesn't have to vibrate to be good. They are the best baby containment device.

I could go on and on about what baby stuff has worked for me.

Nasty cold is hanging on--this is NO way to spend a perfectly good weekend! Three entire boxes of lotion tissues already. I hate February!

If you've got the flu, there's really no need to apologize for not coming to class.

Do you believe what kids tell you when they miss class? (I might have asked this before.)

I really don't care why a kid misses class. I only ask for some kind of verification if there's a test or something. We had a paper due on Friday, but with one exception, all the kids out with the flu e-mailed a copy of their paper by the deadline, so I'm pretty sure they're on the up and up.

And there really is a massive flu outbreak, and it is the beginning semester. Usually, these absences are at the end of the semester.

I've inhaled entirely too much turpentine today.

I survived Babies 'R' Us, and our baby registry is complete.

Did any of your opinions have any impact regarding what went on the registry? As I recall, my trip to Babies 'R' Us were pretty useless.

Actually, yes. I got to hold the bar code gun and everything.

I'm totally fine with the whole adjusting to living in the PST timezone other than when it comes to sports. Waking up at 9 am on a Sunday to watch the Eagles was annoying, and now with the baseball season quickly approaching, I haven't yet figured out how I'm going to handle watching Phillies games. A 4:00 PM weekday start for the majority of games does not cooperate at all with my current work schedule.
Another day, another box of stolen pens.

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I spent 5 hours in Chuck E. Cheese today.

I have enough random thoughts to take this to thread #4 all by myself. But I'll try to restrain and keep it to the salient points.

5 hours, tons of "M". But none with the "ILF". That's pretty unbelievable.

(before the wisecracks, I was playing the role of single parent today)
