Random Thoughts 3

I thought I'd draft this letter to Chucke E Cheese management to see if I could make a quick score:

Code: Select all
Dear Sir or Madam:

Greetings, I am legal counsel for Local 34 of the CMAoP (Costumed Musicians Alliance of Philadelphia).  I am writing to inform you of deplorable working condtions I observed in your establisment at 9 Snyder Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, on Sunday, 17 Februay, 2008.

In the entire 5 hours I was present in your venue, the 5 costumed musicians on stage did not receive a single break period.  As you should be well aware, our union requires a 40/20 performance/break schedule.  Your  demanded schedule was well out of these guidelines.  This abuse was evident to the well being of the musicians.  Their listlessness between songs was eminently noticable.

Since this is the first observed offense at your location, I would like to agree on a fair and amicable agreement.  In addition to guaranteed adherence to our regulations,  I wil levy a fine of $26,150US.  Please remit ASAP along with your sworn affidavit that you will cease these unfair tactics.

Thanks you for your time, and I look forward to your rapid response.

F. Bingo D. Snork, Esq.
CMAoP

Upon hearing her name, I instinctively knew that the little girl was the daughter of the guy I had seen earlier, the guy wearing the "Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire" T-shirt.

"Hey Cleopatra, check this out!!" her friend beckoned.

Continued observation proved my hypothesis.

It wasn't until way after I got home tonight that I realized that Chuck E hisself is supposed to be a mouse. I spent a considerable amount of time today contemplating why a kid-friendly place would choose a rat as its mascot.

True story.

I spent probably 3.5 hours today trying to make sure I didn't lose my Kid in the massive "Hamster Tube" which runs over the top of the play area (it's not over protectiveness, just something that must be done. Just trust me on that).

I used to be a pretty cool dude.

Now I'm the lamest guy in the universe.

Hillary Clinton told reporters that she has gone hunting and once shot a duck.

Actually Hillary was trying to explain to the duck her position on Iraq and finally the exasperated duck said, "Just shoot me."

LOS ANGELES - The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Sunday ordered the recall of 143 million pounds of frozen beef from a California slaughterhouse that provided meat to school lunch programs.

First there was tainted dog food and now contaminated beef--school officials are at a loss as to what meat they can now serve students.

During the first two days of President Bush's trip to Africa he has met with Thoma Boni Yayi of Benin and Jakaya Kilmete of Tanzania.

Bush is disappointed he will not also be able to meet with Tarzan of the Apes.

i don't think of sex as much as the (surely) fake statistics indicate, but i think of girls way more than anything else in the world. i often wish i were gay.

At one time, I had the idea of tracking weather on a day to day basis for a year, and seeing which place had overall better weather. Anyway, while it may be a touch cold today, it is bright and sunny.

I have enough random thoughts to take this to thread #4 all by myself. But I'll try to restrain and keep it to the salient points.

I won't "rat" them out, but one of your fellow BSG'ers used to be the mouse...

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

If I were a rapper, I'd make a song about how I love my Mama. (She bought me a ridiculously great clothes organizer and eight Marie Callender's chicken pot pies today.)

Yeah, it really is. That and the American History Museum are tops.
