i should probably do some work now.

the third time i met my last girlfriend's parents, it was the day she moved into her house last fall, and i was helping them move stuff in and set up her bedroom.

working with her fbi agent dad to set up the bed i knew i'd later be sleeping in was probably the most mentally challenging experience of my life.

Long story short... I started seeing this girl right after I graduated high school. After a few weeks she asks me to meet her parents and I reluctantly agreed. As soon as I walk in she introduces me to her dad and he shakes my hand but I could see he was holding something behind his back. He pulls me aside, points towards my junk, and says, "If he comes out, this comes out." At that point he takes his hand from behind his back and he's holding a giant machete. We awkwardly stared at each other for a few seconds and he busts out laughing and hands me a beer (mind you I was 18 at the time).

Little did he know that I almost had to get a crowbar to get his daughter's knees out of her ears the night before.

That was one fucked up family.

XM LED: The Zeppelin Channel (XM 59) will be going over the hills and far away on hiatus from XM after March 7th but don't be alarmed now cause it won't be swingin' from the gallow's pole. We've still got a whole lotta love for XM LED and will bring it on home to ramble on in the light like a fool in the rain later this year. So don't get sick again in the evening, enjoy your dancin' days and boogie with stu down by the seaside without getting dazed, confused or trampled underfoot. XM LED's presence will be down on the tiles when the levee breaks and ready to rock and roll! Your time is gonna come and the song will remain the same...later in 2008! Until then, thank you.

Was all that really necessary?

I find this blog interesting, and anyone who wonders about mass-market selling of technology might as well.

That looks like something I'd have written when I was 14...which, coincidentally, is about how old I was when I got into Zeppelin.

Pretty much, tells my girlfriend they're installing a sex swing, and my mom told my girlfriend my brother needs to be laid, and that "The (our last name)'s are very sexual creatures". My parents are gross freaks, and I picture oils and robes.

Apparently the nice weather means it's time for everyone to break out the loud, obnoxious mechanical equipment and cut down some trees or something

Good for them. Maybe not mentioning the sex swing part, but i think i'd like to hang out with them. Maybe bring a camera or something.

Did my taxes today. My return was not nearly as good as I'd figured it was going to be. It has kinda ruined my day now.

It's worse when it's your own parents.

I used to hang out with this guy in middle school and his parents would always be out on the weekends, so he frequently had people stay over, watch movies, play video games, etc. I later found out that his parents were big swingers and they were going to sex parties instead of "dancing" like they told us. It was the late 70's , before the AIDS scare.
