And what the $#@! does that have to do with 2 god damn runs, poor at batas, against matt rucking chico

Fans, as a whole, are morons anyway

someone's let his grouchy out

Stupid gets my dander up...sure eaton wasn't good today but to want to lay the lion shares of blame on a guy who pitched less than 3 innings when the bats didn't show up against a mediocre starter and mediocre pen is stupidity of the sort that should be limited to that other board

Ok, Nevermind. Eaton and his awful start had no impact on the game whatsoever.

Get ready for tomorrow...

Mets get JOE WEST behind home
We get PHIL CUZZI

Of all umpires, possibly the only one worse than CB Bucknor and we get him tomorrow

What aren't you sure of? Pena was about 30 feet away from second when Ruis grabbed it.

If you think that Ruiz doesn't have a shot if he tries to run to third and tag the base before Pena gets there, well maybe. No, even then I think Ruiz gets the out.

BP:

UPDATE #2: Philly fans go from yesterday’s high to a sad low, as a badly-fielded seventh inning costs them two runs in a 4-2 loss to the Nationals. The East division title odds are now basically 50-50, with a very slight edge to the Phils: 50.4 for them, 49.6 for the Mets. The wild card chance is 3.4% for each of them. Total playoff chance 53.8 Philly, 52.9 New York. The chance of a playoff game is 53.2%.

Please point to me where i said his awful start had no impact...your post implied that it was pretty much all on Eaton when the bats slumbered....that's a ridiculous premise

Though fits your pattern

Moyer on CSN.....he hopes he's nervous tomorrow. wtf

He also says "there's no reason to be tight about this. Go out and have fun...leave it all on the field."

is he 'generous strikezone for antediluvian lefthanders" worse, or "never makes a call the same way on identical pitches" worse?
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

West averages 12.4 K's per and Cuzzi is at 12.7

I guess they both have fair strike zones, but Cuzzi is known to turn his strikezone around in the late innings

around towards smaller or towards bigger? towards smaller sounds great cus moyer will benefit only while he's there.

Gudel says the plastic is above the lockers, ready for tomorrow (or Monday). She also says the players have loosened up a bit and are now talking after declining interview requests 30 mins ago...

From what I remember Cuzzi's strike zone will expand in the late innings, the Phillies always get into arguments with him. I think it was Todd Pratt a few years ago who really went at it with him. I remember after that game I wanted to hurt Cuzzi.

Still, Manuel had the quick hook and the bullpen allowed one earned run in 6 2/3. That should be enough for this team, in OFJOAB.

See...that's what i'm talking about 'sucks the life out of this team' - are you $#@! kidding me? That's just insane

It's actually not insane.

Jem, these guys are not robots. They have emotions. You don't think at all that they feel different when Hamels is pitching?

ugh. that game pretty much stunk for about 6 innings. I just got back, it was hard to get in to it because they weren't even getting hits.

OK; what'll that do, other than show that I'm smart? He's 44, and he's finished. It happens. All the time, which is why it's predictable.

He definately had a shot. I even commented on that at the game. I was suprised he went to second becuase it looked like the toughest throw to make.
