Helms has just been a mess this year. He probably needs to play a little more to stay sharp. He was either starting a lot -- which he isn't capable of doing -- or he was buried on the bench. He's just had an awful, Eaton like season this year.

Starters aren't used to coming into jams. The Phils bullpen is well versed at coming in during the middle of an Eaton meltdown.

Then why not the beginning of the third? The way I see it, you bring a guy like him in, you look for him to pitch the rest of the damn game. What's the point in resting him at all? If you lose, he'll be resting all October.
