i think it's becoming more standard since the deadline was moved to july 15th and the pools were implemented.

Good point. Money declared in reasonably specific terms, with 5 weeks to get it done. Athletes with declared intention, although I would be more a fan of accountability for the decision to enter the draft by forcing a longer commitment to academia for youngsters who want a jackpot (i.e., no JuCo loop hole making them stay out 2 years, some penalty for Juniors picked in the first X (say 8-10 rounds) who want a better payday (not sure what this could look like), something really ugly for anyone playing that rare independent league card, etc.

I know it has been said, and I agree, that you are a BSG HOF Deadlock, but I think we need a special award for your over the top efforts at draft time. Maybe "The Man" award.

We batted it around yesterday and it seems like it should just be a matter of time. The team will get him a new cowboy hat fresh from Bollman's (Adamstown, a hop/skip/jump from Reading) and stuff some cash in it. He did Senior day, and had one injury previously, so it should be time to cash in.

Irvin really doesn't have a lot of leverage IMO. He's got a year of eligibility but he's been in college for 4 years (medical redshirt).
