And I suspect he will look back some day and think he should have stayed. Minor league ball is a fun experience if you go in with the right attitude...enjoy the time, soak in every moment, stand at first base after a base hit and tell yourself that no one can ever take that hit in pro ball away from you, sign autographs for the 6 year olds who think you are a Greek god, read the sports pages and realize that is YOUR name in the box score, go to the pizza parlors where your team is considered the ONLY game in town....and enjoy.
He missed out on all of that. I believe he will regret it.
