Johnny Gaudreau is a restricted free agent. He is negotiating a contract extension and said he plans to have a long stint with Calgary but would love to play for the Flyers toward the end of his career.

"Everyone wants to play for their hometown team eventually."

I didn't think Ghost was keeping up his pace of his first couple months but damn he was still decent fighting through that

Provorov (WHL Brandon) and Philippe Myers (QMJHL Rouyn-Noranda) are in the Memorial Cup tourney that starts this weekend

(OHL London and WHL Red Deer (host) are the other two teams in this year's tournament)

Myers probably would have been a first-round pick in next month's NHL draft if the Flyers didn't have the foresight to sign the 6-foot-5, 208-pound free agent during last year's training camp.

Since then, the junior-level defenseman has blossomed faster than anyone could have expected, strengthening the Flyers' already-deep group of up-and-coming blue liners.

"There's no question" he would have been a first-round selection if he was in this year's draft, said Craig Button, the highly respected draft guru for TSN in Canada. "What a steal by the Flyers."

up over the blocker. deke as if going to backhand and then put it back where goalie came from. hertl did same against rangers a few years back. righties have to go over glove so tougher. every dork in men's leagues tries this in warmups (never works).

And a weird conditional 4th round pick with the Coyotes. They owe us a 4th this year or a 3rd next year. They don't currently have a 4th but they can acquire one and give it to us. Makes me think they will try and get a late 4th rather than give a 3rd next year. Who knows.
