Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. The relative handful of QBs who would have been better in that trash fire offense last year aren't available, and we don't have a shot at Wentz.
And forget the money. Unless you get really lucky, you're gonna be paying a QB a lot of money if you hope to contend.

I have just zero clue what's going to happen with Bradford. My guy has consistently said that he doesn't see it happening, but there's a ton of smoke. On the other hand, the smoke could well be the Eagles making this public so they can say "WE TRIED!", like Les Bowen alluded to

The one constant from the Eagles' side, at least, is it seems Condon is asking for the moon (Lurie walking back Pederson's praise of Bradford at that presser, "He'll be here if he wants to be," etc.). Their other moves are certainly in line with trying to win now imo

Perhaps there have been conversations with Doug and Sam about the offense - and some indication about bolstering Oline from Howie and Doug - and perhaps also - Condom has felt out the market and it's not as strong as they hoped?
Clearly, the off-season has a very different feeling to it as does Novacare post-Chip. And maybe Sam likes the direction and likes his teammates and see the committment to get the D improved and keep talent around him?
I also don't understand why they can't ask for incentives? No one will mind paying him the elite money if he puts up elite numbers and is effective. How bout a base deal that is solid - he got 13mil last year - he's getting a raise no matter - and how could he say he deserves what Flacco or Brady or Brees or Rogers make?

This is all that matters IMO. The next 2-3 years are a longshot but we aren't tanking so may as well spend some money on QB position.
We're not sitting on a good rookie nor will we be able to draft one in the next couple years at least. Right now Sam is an average QB. He's an injury risk but who isn't? And maybe he can be even better than average with a better OL. The best you can say about those other names is maybe they would fail so badly we'd get a high pick sooner.
