That's how it works. Longer length would have been less cap hit.

Looks like Conklin in the draft then. Conklin and Johnson at OT; Peters to OG; the makings of a much better OL. Sammy Brats is got to like that.

Peters will never play guard. Conklin or high pick will be guard for a year or two.

Seems like a waste to sign him and draft a QB at 13. Probably looking at a guy in the 3rd round or later.

Prob best case scenario, really. We werent going to into a weak qb draft with a mid-round pick and sanchez as the presumed starter. Should be a solid 8-8 this season.

This QB class isn't necessarily weak just not top heavy like last year. Outside of Winston and Mariota, most of those QB's were stinky. I think you can get a guy mid round this year better than anyone after those two.

Don't think I could stomach another first round WR in what is shaping up to be a below average class. OL should be the pick imo. Doesn't seem like a thing Pederson would do to draft a WR at 13 with the gaps on the line.

Props to Howie, for now at least. Couldn't have done any better if you want a chance at short term success

Kind of have see what Agholor is healthy in a competent offense too. I still have high hopes

They can sign Evans and Boone if they want. Who's your #1 to replace Riley?

I don't know that they have the cap space to do all that, and extend Cox with this Bradford deal. They still need a safety too.

Yeah, his philosophy (i'm guessing) doesnt place heavy value on WR, so really doubt they spend a first on another one.

Look, the Birds have a #1, a #2 and a #3 at WR in the last 2 drafts. Those 3 have to be part of things. Then, you pick up 1-2 veterans or find some guy no one thought would be fast enough or coming off injury or whatever. NE has found guys for years - that come in and make a contribution. The key is Agholor. He has to be at least 70 grabs and 6 TDs. Huff can be a 4th WR is a vet is a better #2.

if Ertz steps up most of the year - and the running game is sound - Bradford can manage this offense and it should be able to win some games. There's no way they draft a WR #13. And there will always be either some Vincent Jackson, Andre Johnson that gets cut and isn't ready to retire - or some Brandon Gibson, Danny Amendola, Brandon Lloyd who can step in for a year and make some key plays. I'm not worried about it too much. The problem - is if Agholor doesn't step it up this year. Then, we're talking blown 1st rounder but I don't think that will be the case. He looks the part. I think that high ankle sprain, plus some Chip stuff and other stuff. He flashed a time or two. I think he'll be ok unlike Huff who hasn't really done much after 3 years - but hope he has something to contribute in the new offense as a #4. He's got some skills and speed.

Tunsil Stanley Conklin - those are the top 3 OTs yes ? I'm happy with any of them. Conklin feels like a good fit for Birds, but just get some talent up there on the Oline.

A corner to replace Carrol would be nice, but I suspect even though Rowe is probably better suited for S, that this year at least, he will play corner oppo Maxwell most of the season.

Very interested to see the breakdown on this deal and if the reported $26 million is true guaranteed money. I'll guess that part of that number is a roster bonus that only becomes guaranteed for injury or if he's on the roster on a specified date during the 2017 league year.
