The quote doesn't support the narrative of Howie the Destroyer. It's saying we wanted MacAdoo and he spurned us, when even McClane acknowledges it was probably a ploy to get the gig in New York.

In any case, I'm glad to be done with this for a while. Let's see what Howie and/or the new personnel guy can actually do.

or it could mean there are only 32 head coaching jobs and this may be the best/only chance pederson has at getting one. if that is his goal then sometimes you have to suck it up and go for it. i do think it's strange to believe the media about chip's problems, but for howie it's all conjecture. why does the media have an axe to grind with howie anyway?

fwiw, psueagle has a poor opinion of him from working in the industry. maybe he could elaborate, but at least he's not part of the no good, terrible media.

Yes. The narrative was strong in 2013, and the Belichik/Roseman rumors out there. Plus I think there's more evidence of Chip being an asshole than Howie being "weasely."

We know at least 3 people who worked with Roseman don't want to work with him and have no respect for him: Chip, Banner & Riddick (http://www.phillyvoice.com/former-eagle ... e-roseman/). And rumors of other people. You can say that they are all wrong and they hate him because he's not a football guy and he's really a football genius. But that is a different argument and it doesn't erase the fact that a lot of people don't respect him and don't think he should be running a team. Chip got ousted because of the environment he created. What about the environment that Howie creates? And has anyone ever said anything good about Roseman? Other than the backhanded "he's good with the salary cap" comments. And it's not like the team has been good during his tenure.

i'm not disputing the notion that former employees may not like him. I'm saying the media taking that to the levels they are taking it is hilarious

sheesh, outside of an anonymous quote or two from guys who got fired or left disgruntled there's really nothing that roseman is some devil. it's just opining from afar. dude is right here.

I apologize if I missed it here and I haven't really been following the minute-by-minute media updates about the Eagles coaching search but am I correct in thinking that they would be hiring this guy without an interview?
