never heard he wasn't before he got hired and i'm sure if his players were asked about it they would have had similar quotes.

The whole process seemed kinda shoddy, so I'm pretty annoyed at that, but I don't have any real problem with Pederson himself. I said it at the beginning that there was nobody I was particularly enamored with, so at that point, fuck it, why not take a shot on a guy who isn't really on the map yet. Maybe we'll get really lucky and he'll turn out to be great. If not, they'll can him and hire some other guy. Once you fired Chip though, you kinda dammed yourself to this sort of hire though.

Dawkins said that Pederson's temperament was a huge question mark for him. I made the Sandberg comparison when I read that. But him bringing back all the old guy like Sandberg did with Bowa and MacKanin makes it more apt and funny. I'm hoping he's more like Andy Reid though since he was a pretty low key guy.

there's nothing concrete on howie, so i'm most mad at chip. I was so effing pumped when he was hired. i was so excited to see a new kind of football, and the players were excited, and then that game against the Skins. And then after that year he became another boring NFL coach, afraid of chances, boring plays, poor preparation, poor in-game adjustments, just everything i hate in most nfl coaches. I don't know if the fear of losing a job changes you on the fly, or what, but the guy that used to use a wheelbarrow to carry his balls was now getting by with a matchbox car. Maybe it was a year too early to fire him, but he did himself no favors with the way he coached most of the last two years.
