better than leaving you awake. Concentrate real hard when they tell you to count backwards from 10. It's fun.

My little bro has to have surgery on his ear while he's awake in a month. I wish i could be there to tease him.

I was just under for the colon scan, have no recollection of them telling me to count backwards- I did come out of it almost immediately after the procedure- kinda shocked the nurse as she said she wasnt expecting me to be awake for another 15 minutes.

yeah, that's one thing i'm afraid of-- waking up too early to find them digging around my knee.

and the other thing is one of my friends told me that the LD50 for most of the general anesthesia they use is horrendously low. one little slip up by the anesthesiologist and i'm dead. ugh (one too many robin cook novels).

You have nothing to worry about but remind me to tell you a story after you have the procedure.

Darvon/Darvocet - Active ingredient is Propoxyphene or Dextro-Propoxyphene. Typically prescribed in a 100/650APAP combo (100 mg of Propoxyphene with 650mg of Acetaminophen). This stuff does absolutely nothing to me. Mild Euphoric high with 400mg of Propoxyphene.

Demerol - This stuff is pretty strong. Occasionally prescribed for sever dental pain and used for IV pain relief after surgery. Hard hitting and very sedating. Use with caution. Possible also known as Percocet/Percodan (not sure - but know that these also contain caffeine).

Dilaudid - Dilaudid is Hydromorphone, which is synthetic Morphine. Very strong and I have only received this in an immediate post-operative situation. I do no not know where to get it, and I do not know any doctor that would willing prescribe it. I know that it is very popular among IV drug users who cook the Dilaudid and then shootup with it.

Did anyone ever see the movie Permanent Midnight which was about the creator of Alf, Jerry Stahl? He began his junky career by cooking up and popping Dilaudid before eventually moving on to heroin. It was weird seeing Ben Stiller play a serious role but it's a good movie overall.

They gave me Dilaudid in the ER about a month ago, when my back really went haywire with moving/stress/etc. Wow, a miracle drug. I went from crying from the pain to a happy camper in about 30 minutes.

Wikipedia doesn't have an entry for Camel Clutch; could someone with a moment remedy this?

yukc, hate that stuff. I took it once and it make me itch like crazy and then throw up. I think it's an oxycontin derivative (I'm 90% sure, as I had trouble finding out) and I'm allergic to oxycontin.

Very good movie, but Jerry Stahl didn't create Alf, he was just a writer on the show. That movie was also the first time I saw Maria Bello naked.
