Really annoyed that she's so far behind the lemonade guy. They should've posted one of her crazy ass videos to really promote her.

Let's launch a BSG campaign. We have the power to right a wrong.

I'm liking Hernandez and Herrera at the top of the line-up.

Don't get too attached to it. MacKanin has made it clear that Utley gets his job back when he returns, which makes perfect sense because Hernandez sucks, the team is struggling and Utley is key to the future of he Phils over the next several years. And, if he's traded, we'll get another 6'4" 240 lb RH pitcher who projects to be a 3-5 starter or a bullpen piece.

Mackanin really didn't say Utley is going to be the starter. He said he's going to find him playing time and made this quote
"This is going to be another tough decision for me to make ... to try to figure out how to get (Utley) into games and where he's going to play," Mackanin said. "If Cesar continues to hit the ball, that's going to be tough."

Why would you disrupt the Hernandez, Herrera, Franco trio at the top of the line-up right now?

"Let me put it this way: I am not just going to dump Chase Utley on the bench," Mackanin said. "He is going to get playing time somewhere, and I will find the playing time."

Mackanin said he spoke with Utley on Saturday.

"I will move him around, I can give Cesar a day off here, and play Cesar at shortstop, for example, to allow Utley to get some at-bats," Mackanin said. "It is important for us to get him at-bats and I will do that. He might play first base one day, but I will try to get him as many at-bats as I can."

Phillies Notes: Utley goes 2 for 3 in first rehab game

Let's hope Mackanin is just toeing the company line and saying that to try to pump up Chase's value because if they screw with Cesar now they're being stupid.

Judging by his comments Mackanin didn't get the memo.

I don't really have a problem mixing Utley in 2-3 times a week (with some time at 1B and DH) and giving Caesar a day off every other week and playing him at SS once every other week.

We keep talking about Utley at 1B but when was the last time he actually played there?

June 16th.

Chances that the Phillies dangle Francoeur on the waiver wire and trade him, allowing Altherr to be called up?
Do you think April is too early for a Roger Dorn night?

Probably pretty low. Frenchy is only making 950k this year, if you put him on waivers someone will claim him to block someone else and then offer you nothing in return. I don't think the Phillies move him for nothing and they won't get anything for him so he'll be here and I wouldn't be surprised if they bring him back next year if he'd take a similar contract.

I don't see any reason to trade Frenchy. He doesn't make that much and he's not going to get you very much in return and he doesn't take playing time from a younger guy who deserves it. Everyone says he's great in the clubhouse and the Phillies need that in a dreadful season like this.

Altherr can get called up in September. No need to rush these guys and start their clocks earlier.

Sign Greinke this offseason for bat flips and comments like these:

"Their top five of the order — they're little guys, a couple of them, and they're younger so you don't think too much, but they're probably up there with the best top-five we have to face," Greinke said. "They probably don't get people saying that too often, but I was looking at their numbers and what they hit. Domonic Brown is swinging good now, and really, it's a tough [top five]."
