What is the likelihood of another deal today for the Flyers?

If they were willing to trade coburn, I can't see why Streit wouldn't be on the table. And thy should be able to get at least a first if not more.

Streit is 7 years older, has a cap hit of one million more per year, and has an extra year on his deal.

he can also play the point on a top pp unit if a team has a need for that. i don't think his contract is a negative.

I'd be surprised if they get a first for him but I see no reason Hextall wouldn't move him today if he got the right offer.

I think the length of his deal is a factor

And the fact that it is a 35+ contract.

I'd be super happy if they move Umberger, Vinny, or McDonald for anything to just shed their contract, but all of those seem very unlikely.

2 more years for $9.5M total and a little higher hit? not sure that is going to stop a team if they feel like adding him for the stretch run.

He is paid like a #1 defender, he has a top 25 contract for dmen, and it is 35+ for another 2 years. Not a lot of teams are going to take that on or have the cap space to take that on AND want to give up a first round pick.

He is 37, I think if Hextall received a decent offer he would have been gone by now.

Did you just tune out the part where he got a first round pick for Coburn?

Don't forget, all bad trades were holmgren. Hextall made all the good ones.

Yes, but just because he can get a first for Coburn doesn't mean he can get one for Streit. If a team offered a first for Streit, I'd have to think he would be gone.

I don't agree at all that Streit is paid like a #1 defender. Not true at all.

Weber's hit is 7.8.
Chara is 6.9.
Pietrangelo is 6.5.

The list goes on and on. #1 defenseman are in the $6.5-8 million range, not close to Streit at all.

Chicago, LA, Nashville, both NY teams, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Tampa Bay have already traded their 1sts

Anaheim - traded for Eric Brewer
Boston - ??
Calgary - might be bringing back Phaneuf
Minnesota - ??
Montreal - traded for Jeff Petry
Vancouver - ??
Washington - traded for Tim Gleason
Winnipeg - traded for Tyler Myers
