In 1957, the Reds put out ballots that were already filled out with Reds. If I'm not mistaken, the scandal resulted in the end of the fan vote. It was brought back in the 70s.

I'm not sure what is good about all the royals getting picked. Is this an attempt to get them to change the selection system? If so, what is the preferred outcome?

Should the managers pick the team or the GMs? I'm just wondering that the end game is here.

Personally, I'd be OK if they just removed the connection to HFA in the World Series. It's not OK to impose that kind of significance on a game that in all other ways is treated as a popularity contest.
